Delays!
Just when I am ready to flip, the painters show up for our long overdue house painting. So, the flip will end up being the 2nd week in August. I am guessing that my next entries will be after that.
I am anxious as heck to get back on it.
One thing I did get to the DAY before our July storms I drilled out the drain holes. I followed Ren's instructions on creating epoxy "tubes" by wrapping Ceran Wrap around a 1'' mop handle and then pre-wetting and rolling fiberglass cloth around it.
When dry, I drilled out the drain tubes with a 1'' hole saw and wet out the holes with epoxy/talc mixture. (ok, this is a good test for Talc. I am using it a bit on this boat to see if it holds up. It is nice to work with and for some reason I want to use it.)
I cut the tubes long enough to have a handle on them then worked them into the wetted out holes. When they dried, I cut off the excess and filled the holes with a graphite/epoxy mix. I also coated the bilge area with the extra graphite mix and will add a second coat after the bottom is done.
after a little work the standard 15/16 drain plugs fit nicely!
Now, do I really want that center console..........
