The Cabin

While I am no stranger to woodworking, I have virtually no boatbuilding skills in my background.  To do the “Big MAC” justice and out of respect for Warren, I turned the boat over to an experienced Boatwright in late 2000.  Bill Deagle of Tall Timbers MD is quite the boat builder.  Mr. Deagle is not a young man, and has a lifetime of boatbuilding experience.  His handiwork is easily identified at a glance by those who know him.  Interestingly, I have heard more than once. “Bill Deagle built that boat, but Bill Deagle did not build that boat.  Where did you get it?”  The telltale clue is the angle of the bow.  Mr. Deagle puts a greater pitch on the bow of his boats.  Quite the craftsman.

The above picture shows the "Big MAC" next to a traditional Chesapeake Bay workboat.  The other boat is probably in the 36 foot range.
